Cassius Langhorne
Cass is a ceramic artist, potter, animation tutor and character designer whose work combines, sculpture and functional ceramics. Influenced by the playful social commentary and craftsmanship of Grayson Perry, he creates expressive portrait sculpture alongside hand-thrown mugs, vases, jugs and plant pots transformed into caricature characters.
Drawing on his background in animation, Cass captures personality, humour and individuality through clay, producing ceramic caricature commissions of people, pets and loved characters. At festivals and events, he performs live caricature pottery while inviting visitors to sculpt their own pieces or commission personalised caricatures. Each work is carefully crafted, dried and kiln-fired before being returned as a food safe, gloss glazed, unique keepsake for clients and collectors.
