Can we walk around the trail?
Yes, the venues are all close together and the total distance of the whole trail is around one mile. There is so much to see and do you might want to spread you visit over two days
How do we get to Thornton?
By public transport
607 bus from Bradford runs every 20 minutes (less frequently on Sundays)
67 bus from Keighley and Bradford every hour
By car
Thornton is 4.5 miles from Bradford city centre and 6 miles form Halifax
Where do I park?
There is ample on street parking on Thornton Road, James St, West Lane and some side streets. Please note that Market St is one way and parking there is needed by residents
How much does the trail cost?
The trail is free to visit and for artists to participate in. It is organised by volunteers. We rely on sponsorship to fund publicity and running costs. Donations are welcome over the weekend or contact us if you wish to become a patron. There’s a cash machine at the coop and the Post Office
Is the art for sale?
Many of the artists are selling work at very reasonable prices. They do not have to pay any commission and all the money goes directly to them.
Where can I get refreshments?
There are several cafes and bars in Thornton including two of our sponsors, Plenty at the Square and Wuthering Delights (booking advisable). There’s also some takeaways and pop up cafes at some of the venues.
Where are the toilets?
There are toilets in several venues, South Square Centre, Thornton Community Centre and St James Church.
Do you have to book for workshops?
The workshops are all drop in people will be accommodated if there is space. Pop up workshops are at venues 8, 13, 14, 15 and 21. There will be artists demonstrating how they work at many venues including venues 4, 5, 8,18, and 21
