Jess Swift
Based in West Yorkshire, Jessica Swift is a 26 year old contemporary artist. She primarily works in contemporary sculpture and abstract painting. Interested in the methods of making, she aims to allow the viewer to think about the process behind her work, rather than just the finished piece as a whole. This stems from her preferred way of learning due to being dyslexic. Her work values colour and texture as this is how she feels people learn from her work best.
She has taken part in multiple group shows across West Yorkshire, and had 5 solo exhibitions since graduating from her Fine Art degree in 2021 from Leeds Arts University. She will be live painting a new mural at Fountain Street Arts Project for the trail as part of a joint exhibition with artist and friend Lauren Kelly.
