John Murphy
I am a painter, printmaker and multimedia artist living in Thornton. I first exhibited in the Brixton Art Gallery in the 1980s and have loved creating work for exhibitions ever since. Attending the BA Art & Design at Bradford College gave me an insight into a range of arts practices and through this I realised that new techniques and concepts excite me more than working in one medium.
The work on show will cover a range of figurative and abstract monoprints, drawings and paintings. The inspiration comes from both the urban and rural landscape both locally and globally.
