Lou Comerford Boyes

Originally trained in Fine Art at the University of Leeds, Lou studied silversmithing and jewellery design at Leeds College of Art and Design and also at the Yorkshire Craft Centre. The inspiration for Lou’s jewellery comes from her passion for the ocean and the coast, designs emerging from countless blissful hours of beachcombing. Her designs strive for the flowing and fluid beauty of seaweed as well as appreciating Nature’s exquisite construction and deconstruction of organic matter such as shells and fossils. Traditional hand crafting silversmith methods are used, for example lost wax casting, alongside fine silver moulding. Full archive of designs and new projects
