Samantha Yates
Samantha has recently completed an MA in Stained Glass Conservation and Heritage Management at the University of York. Her work has developed from studying historic memorial windows and the vast loss of life they commemorate. Through this research, she has become deeply aware of how grief is carried across generations and how art serves to acknowledge tragedy, absence, and mourning. Working in glass, a material which is fragile yet lasting, she creates objects that reflect the sadness embedded in past and present worlds. Her work offers space for reflection, recognising grief as a shared and enduring human experience..
