Sue Ripley
After gaining a degree in Art and Design, Sue enjoyed a career as a designer and educator and now paints from her studio in West Yorkshire. She is known for contemporary, expressive landscape paintings using acrylic and mixed media, combining thin layers of colour with heavier impasto paint and elements of mark making using pastel, crayon and graphite. Her paintings intuitively explore the Yorkshire landscape and the light, colour and shapes found in the ever-changing environment.
